Apps

Our Apps page reflects the next step in the Elite Learning Network journey.

What began with strong training foundations, learning resources, and instructional design standards has grown into practical, AI-supported tools designed to help learning professionals plan, assess, review, and improve their work.

These apps bring together the experience, structure, and learning design practices developed along the way — turning them into simple tools that support better learning outcomes.

Read Time Estimator

I created the Read Time Estimator after realizing just how easy it is to get screen timing wrong.

In one of my projects, I thought a paragraph would take about six seconds to read, but the actual timing was closer to nine seconds. Three seconds may not sound like much, but in eLearning, it can make a big difference.

The screen can move on before the learner finishes reading, the narration can feel rushed, and the overall experience can become frustrating. This tool provides a quick way to check word count, estimate silent reading and voice-over time, and suggest how long content should stay on screen.

It is not meant to replace good judgment, but it gives course developers a helpful starting point for creating smoother, more comfortable learning experiences.
